Silver Bullet: an original bullish walkthrough
Come with a notebook: we will pause the replay before each decision.
Follow a timed bullish hypothesis while keeping setup, order and fill distinct.
Start with a reference low marked before 10:00 New York. In our fictional sequence price briefly crosses it, returns, then closes above a previously marked short-term high.
A later three-candle bullish FVG is confirmed inside the hour. This walkthrough uses a sweep, structural close and FVG as explicit study filters; it is not a claim that every ICT presentation uses identical filters.
Only now write a hypothetical limit entry, protective stop and target. An order that is never filled is a no-fill observation, not a winning trade.
Advance candles one at a time. If the entry fills, test whether the stop or target becomes reachable first; when one candle includes both and order is unknown, mark the result ambiguous.
Let’s work through it
- Mark the reference before revealing the outcome.
- Follow a timed bullish hypothesis while keeping setup, order and fill distinct.
- Record the result and the conditions that would reject the idea.
Let’s use numbers · hypothetical example
EUR/USD: 10:07 low 1.0996 crosses reference 1.1000; 10:12 close breaks 1.1010. Confirmed FVG 1.1008–1.1012 at 10:14; hypothetical 10:18 entry 1.1010, stop 1.0994, target 1.1042. At 0.0001 per pip this is 16 pips risk and 32 pips gross reward, before costs. Here R means the original planned price risk: 32÷16=2R before costs.
Easy mistakes to watch for
- Mistaken assumption: A full 2 Rwinner.
- Changing the definition after seeing the result.
- Ignoring spread, slippage or the loss limit.
Keep in mind
This is a hypothetical study, not a signal. A chart label cannot identify institutional intentions or guarantee a result; include costs and a predefined loss limit.
Your turn
Replay the sequence and write a second path where the limit never fills. Keep that path in the sample.
A quick check before we move on
If the limit never fills and price later hits the target, how do we log it?
- A full 2 Rwinner.
- An execution at the best price on the chart.
- No fill, no realised trade profit.
Check answer
No fill, no realised trade profit. A price move is not your trade unless the stated order was filled under realistic assumptions.
